OK, we’re done. 1080p is a slower seed (10/2 connection instead of 100/100) unfortunately, since it’ll be faster to seed it out than to ul/mux it.
Oh, and this has 5.1 FLAC. I think this is not only our first completed movie, but also our first show with 5.1 audio. So, yay. 
480p has 2.0 AAC @ 320 kbps, though, as you’re only DLing that for filesize or compatibility.
Big shout out to the staff for working so diligently on this. ^^

The movie is a prequel and only leads into the story from the game. You don’t need to have played it, though you will miss a few references. The more important concepts are explained in the first few lines. From there, the movie is stand-alone.
The scenes on the ending theme section are the opening cutscene to the game (so I was told). So there you go =D

thanks for the release, but one question/request: Could you maybe keep the original audio-format for the 1080p release, whatever it was (probably some version of DD or DTS) ?
Since 5.1 FLAC doesn’t work via SPDIF or HDMI (if you don’t have the latest-gen GPU’s. That means at least an ATI Radeon HD5xxx).

So, I’m having serious trouble getting the sound to work for this file. I’ve downloaded the FLAC codec to get the audio to work, but it’s just not coming through for whatever reason. I’ve tried the file in Winamp (it refuses to load), Divx and WMP have no sound (both say they’re missing the DirectShow recoder), and VLC simply crashes (though I think the sound does work; I wouldn’t know since it crashes in less than 3 seconds). Is there some specific codec you used for the file, or is there another player I can try this on? I’ve been toying around with this for the past hour and a half, using several programs to figure out exactly what I need, including MediaInfo, but I’m still coming up short.

Well it’s a little bit different. The original Blu-Ray uses DTS-HD according to 1*. As you can read at wikipedia 2*, DTS-HD is a lossless audiocodec (like FLAC). So the question should be in the first place: Why convert a lossless compressed stream to another lossless compression codec? It’s not like ffdshow, etc. couldn’t decode it.
On the other hand the advantage for people like me, who watch their 1080p at a home cinema system, is that DTS-HD is backwards compatible to DTS. This means it’s usable (the lossy “core” of the bitstream) via SPDIF and HDMI connections which don’t support the latest bitstream codecs and 5.1/7.1 PCM yet.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to bitch. I’m just curious for the reason why everyone seems to change the codec for apparently no reason – except for the loss of SPDIF support.

If you are using ffdshow (you should) go to “ffdshow audio decoder configuration”, check “Mixer” in the left, click “Mixer” in the left and choose “output speaker configuration”: “2/0/0″.

Eh, she’s not really abusive. She’s just an very dull character who entire personality was built on cliches. In a game where the characters were a very high point, she was definitely was pretty bad.

But historically speaking Namco only released 2 full tales series: tales of eternia (I never played the game but the anime was horrible), and tales of abyss which was very good. The problem is, if you watched a full 24/26 episode anime you will never play the game, and that means less money for the company. On the other hand I think they are very lazy people. Why couldn’t they realease a full tales of symphonia anime instead of dragging it for 10 years? We all know that when it is finished they will slap it on 3 blu ray discs and sell it as a complete series.

I downloaded Divx for this and it says something about DirectShow Decoder 4294967295, then I tried WMP to see it it worked and both case shows that its a FLAC file and is not supported, I did some research and ended up with an answer like Ac3filter or something, I’m not sure exactly how to apply it after download, any one care to enlighten me as to how I can finally watch this movie?

So glad this was subbed. It’s definitely a must see for any fan of Vesperia. This is a really well done movie.

Having a problem with the 1080p version.
There is occasional stuttering in the audio and video and also sometimes the subs come late or so, which means i’m unable to watch it. Tried watching with MPC which gives this stuff and with VLC its even worse. I tried re-installing CCCP etc. but it didn’t do any good.

Good stuff mate. I’ve only destroyed half of my social life with this game so i’ve been anticipating this movie for about an eternity or two.
Btw those of you who are encoding this to work on your 360 or PS3 or whatever you use, what encoder are you using.
All of mine are nothing short of retarded and can’t even recognize this file as MKV.
I’m talking Gotsent, All2Avi, virtual dub mod, Xvid4psp, I’m not having any probs with FLAC it’s just that i can’t some to hardcode the subs correctly. After i extract the subs and then try to hardcode them in it’s like someone wiped their ass with the subs then slapped them back into the vid. Either i’m wrong or my programs are weak. I’ve been using encoders and converting MKV to MP4 and avi for years never had this problem. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

If i click on any of the links it doesnt let me download them, i even post the url in bit torrent and it gives me this : Error ‘ An Attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions. ‘while downloading URL. does anyone know why? cause i really want to see this movie Subbed thanks!
