This is an extra episode which was contained in the 7th Blu-Ray disc. It is offered in 4 flavors. 1080p – FLAC, 720p – FLAC, 480p – AAC, 400p – XviD – MP3. The 480p AAC links to the OP2/ED from the series in ordered chapters.
The batches will come in a few days when we finish re-QCing 12 and 13, do the last 2 specials, and fix a few things we did not like in our Blu-Rays so far. For more details, see this post.
Oh, and we’ll probably do the 2nd season when it rolls around.
These are hosted on Nyaa instead of Anirena. See the last post for details as to why.

uh, yeah. guys, I’m pretty sure they noticed something’s wrong with the XviD. telling them something they already know doesn’t get results, it gets you kicked from IRC probably.
That aside, I feel a bit slighted that I dl’d the 720p, but I’d have to get the flac audio for the last episode. That, or get both and re-mux them for myself. What to do?
Well, since the 720p TV versions of 1-13 will be replaced by BD-rips, and Kristen uses FLAC for BD rips of 720p+, K-On 14 720p uses FLAC. Just be forewarned that any 720p+ BD-rips done by Kristen (and maybe even all the others) will most likely use FLAC

cause my PC seem can’t play the bluray videos (I’m using k-lite mpc codec pack)
What? It’s either a) Your PC can’t handle the extra bitrate, because the BD versions should have a bit more or b) k-lite mpc codec pack can’t handle FLAC. Other than that, there’s no difference. blu-ray format would be a… BDMV, which this is not >_>

Good day to all
I think there is a problem with the 480p version link. When I click on it, the usual open/save dialog box appears. Whether I choose to open or to save, the download starts but is never completed. But this does not happen to the other 3 versions. I’m using Firefox, if that info helps
I’d rather have the 480p version so that it would be the same as my copies of ep1-13 (Chihiro releases, of course). But if it really can’t be helped, I’m ok with the other versions

A few of the previous posts were exactly right.
The .avi / xvid videos are popular with those who play them on their xbox, ps3, or xvid compatible DVD players on their regular television.
I just bought an LG BD390 Blu-Ray player that will play MKVs although it’s sadly not compatible with subtitles that any fansubber uses!
I appreciate the work chihiro does releasing subs in multiple formats! So many groups concentrate on just the “best” format and not the most easily playable format.

I know this is a small thing but, before you guys make a final batch do you mind fixing a romaji typo in the OP karaoke (noticed it in every single release)? Can’t believe no one noticed it after all this time (that is, if anyone cared about it…)

The kanji/kana is correct, but it’s just that one thing. Thought it would have been taken care of in the Blu-Ray releases.

Nice release with Ep. 14. I have all of the 1080p releases from K-ON! At least all of those released under Chihiro. However, will you be releasing the remaining episodes (11-13) in 1080p? Or those raws aren’t just enough to get it done?

hi, i dont wanna press on something so many people already said but, there is really a big problem in the audio/video of the Avi version, and i’ve seen lots of comments on that matter and no answers, so i was wondering if it will be a V2 or something, cause it’s kinda not nice to listen and read an anime when both things are completly different ^^U
anyways i really appreciate the hard work (i got all the other 13 episodes from here and really liked both, the anime and the subs), i hope you keep it up, and really hope for a V2 ^^U

There’ll be a v2… eventually. It might not happen until the final eps are done though, since the encoder has had some computer issues and a huge backlog…

I downloaded the 480p ep14, put it in the folder with the rest of my K-on episodes (the 640×480 h.264 episodes ripped from TV), and I am assuming I don’t get the intro played because of the different sizes or whatever.
Is there any way I can get the intro included in episode 14 for me??

I have complemented with another release, but the 13th episode has been far more difficult to find it 1080p hard subbed at least. As a matter of fact, I haven’t found any release.
I don’t know if Kristen or anyone else at Chihiro are reading this, which may be annoying, but at least, admitting that no good raw has been found would be nice. Otherwise, this is the way Toyota upset their customers.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
