Well, technically, Yuki uses a mix of all other subs, and has way better quality for the episodes then a.f.k, expect 08 since that aired in shit quality. Also for the old episode, yuki uses the same subs from Hitsuji’s version. But that’s not important. You interrupted my rand by trying to bring logic into it. Why would you do that?
The dates are so blurry and rainbowy that you can’t read them at all, and the entire logo is laced with dotcrawl. And it continues through the episode. Go to http://www.ji-hi.net/haruhi2/Yuki/9-Dialog5.png . She still has rainbowing in her hair and armpits, and dotcrawl on her uniform.
It’s really not a good encode. And I wouldn’t blame it on the source for that episode, since Haruhi airs on the exact same station every week, so it should look exactly the same in terms of problems each week.
And if it was true that it was only like that for that week, then that means it should continue for just the new episodes, which is what is being talked about here.

Have you researched everyone’s release of Episode 8? I was downloading them as they were coming out and everyone’s video quality was bad due to them complaining about the source being horrible. Although Yuki’s isn’t the best in quality, it is the best that has been released so far and they said they will do a v2 of it when a better quality source comes around.
Kadokawa has been airing DVD quality episodes of the first season while airing crappy quality episodes of the second season. If you get a raw of the latest episode, which is another episode of the second season you will see that it is again in crappy quality. I believe Kadokawa is doing this because when they release the DVD version of the second season it will be in better quality than the original airing.
It is the source’s fault for being crappy not the encoders and i believe that Yuki’s is the best so far. Whatever you decide though I’ll support it because Chihiro is one of my favorite fan subbing groups
