This episode was different than the others… A lot. >.<

Honestly, I had fun subbing it, and I thought it was a pretty interesting series to begin with. Very dark, but also interesting to watch. Maybe I’m one of the few left who do.

Well, time to make this a “Completed” series. XD

Last thing. If you’ve noticed, we’ve called this series “Zettai Shogeki” and not “Zettai Shougeki”. This is not an issue of the romanization of the kanji title. There was a soundtrack released with scans with episode one, and it had the title spelled out on the front page. See for yourself. There is no – over the o in Shogeki, nor is there a u, so the official title does not have a u. Tid bit of extra knowledge. XD

So, here is a v2 of Shogeki 01. There are 2 main changes.

1. The script got a very critical QC/Edit, so it should sound a lot better now.

2. We encoded from a DVDISO instead of a DVDRip. Honestly, when I did the v1, there was nothing wrong with it. But, it seems like taking an encode from a chinese group (With no typesetting, by the way, just a stupid watermark) and using it as a raw was “unethincal”. I mean, in all honesty… We release a different resolution than they do, and we have nothing to “steal” from them. I really don’t see why this became a big deal. It’s the exact same thing as encoding from a share raw. It’s pre-encoded, you just make it better.

In other news, our next new show will be released tomorrow no matter what. It would’ve been out today, but our encoder suddenly disappeared on us.

This was my second experiance working with a DVDISO. And, this one is just WEIRD. 29.970 at 720×480, as expected, but there was no telecining at all (Even on keyframes, unlike ZKC transport streams), but it had interlacing, which no DVDs are supposed to have. Long story short: DVDs are beautiful.

Also, this episode is what you call INTERESTING. Remember chemistry class? Erm… yeah…

So, some people thought we were planning on doing KISSxSIS. As you can see, that’s wrong.

Yeah, this is ecchi. Basically, this series is about girls with big breasts fighting each other and continually put into ecchi situations. Think: Ikkitousen.

Though, there are Miko-chans in here, and that should be enough.

There are 2 OVAs out presently, and the third was released yesterday. The 4th comes out in January, and the 5th and final episode comes out in February.

I’ve been busy with school ever since midterms, and I really wasn’t paying much attention to any “add-on” work for the past weeks. With Christmas coming up, vacation is too, and I’ll try to provide DDL as much as I possibly can during the time. Hope you haven’t lost faith yet.
