OK, so here’s a story. I go to sleep last night thinking “Tomorrow’ll be happy Asu day! No surprise Sekirei OVA to sub, nope, nope.” Then I wake up and go to tokyotosho to look at the torrent searches and laugh at how high Toradora is. Then, in giant letters, appears “SEKIREI”. So, I was like “Oh, DVD box set must’ve been released, no OVA, nope, nope.” Then I go on here and see a comment “Is Chihiro subbing the Sekirei OVA?” INSTASTRESS!

Anyways, it’s out. 10 minutes long, DVD resolution, etc, etc.

So, after a few months, we finally got somebody to volunteer to seed this. Thank you Neo_Agelus!

Sekirei Season 1 is shut now. If there’s an OVA, we’ll do it. If there’s a S2, we’ll do it. But, nothing more on S1. No DVDs, AKA. If you want DVD subs for it, there are DVD rips out there, and our h.264 subs are softsubbed, so just extract and do what you will.

Tsukiumi, be my wife!

It’s been fun working on this. I’m pretty sentimental now that this journey is over. This is the first show that I have translated and have learned a lot from it.

So, Sekirei announced a season 2 at the end of its final episode this season. So as to prevent questions, I will make the announcement now. Assuming that Chihiro is still alive when season 2 comes along, we WILL be doing it. So, there’s your answer, don’t ask anymore.

I guess I’ll make a status post here, since this post has very little purpose to begin with.

One more episode to go. Again, this episode was going smoothly, but it had encoding issues. Is this the third week in a row? This time, the show ran for 24 minutes, but stopped when there were 7 minutes left in the video. So, again, XviD first. Also, there’s a new ED at the end.

One more thing. Our server is exploding, so we’re going to have a bit of down time for a few days. It’ll be back soon.

So, we’re 3-4 hours late. Sorry about that. We had everything time/edited and ready to go, we had an encode ready, all muxed! And then, we realized that there was 29 minutes of video instead of 24.5.

XviD release first due to the encoding error. If you see an XviD first, it usually means we did something wrong making it so that it is faster to encode an XviD than for an h.264.

For World Destruction, I have no idea when that’s going to be released. It’s awaiting encoding.

To Love Ru will hopefully be tomorrow. And I’m still hoping to get 2-3 ZKC episodes out by Sunday.

h.264: You raped Sakura! Evil people!

You have no idea how frustrating this episode was. First, it was a .mp4 file, so it had no keyframes for me to time to in Aegisub. So I timed to the audio first, which is actually easier than regular timing. But then when I fine timed, EVERY FREAKING LINE needed scene timing corrections. T_T

Second, it was encoding h.264 at the appropriate time. However, the first time it went, it came out to be 150 MB. Megui made it 80 MB less than what we were asking, and it was really blocky. So, trying it WITHOUT autoencode and using bitrate calc, it went at like 5 fps on pass 1. Last time, it was going at 60. So, after giving up on that (For now. Don’t worry, there will be an h.264.) we went with an XviD, since it’d run faster than that h.264. It finished pass 1 after 50 minutes, and then we remembered that we didn’t resize it.Then people yelled at me to go to sleep since it was 1 AM. <.<

Anyways, XviD first. h.264 will have to wait a bit due to sleep schedules and such. Before you ask, this is NOT seeding on the server. Too risky. It is seeding on a different one.

Also, my personal plug. Anyone know where to get Ikkitousen 06? The first season, not Great Guardians. I have seen 1-5, and I see 7-13 for me to watch, but I cannot find 06. T_T Got it. Thank you! ^_^

OK, so just a heads up. Even though we were attacked (It was an attack, since Jaka deleted at least 50 torrents he did nothing in), we’re still not dead. We will continue to release as usual, and will continue to release with the same intentions as before. To get you guys anime.

I think we’re a bit early with this today, since I woke up extra early, and forced everyone else working on this project to wake up even earlier! Last week, without Kristen, things were kinda out of order, but this one’s right on track! Yay!

Anyway, this episode is really heating things up! It’s coming right along with the manga, for those of you who’ve read it, but it’s nice to hear some awesome voice actresses do the voicing for these babes. <3

So… I’ll confess. Once the TL was finished for this ep of Seki, I went out to practice drumming for an hour, then went to dinner and watched the entire Men’s soccer match between China and New Zealand (being in China, drinking beer, and cheering for my home country’s team is a pretty awesome experience, even though my home is in the U.S.). So, we happened to be just a *tad* bit late on this. For that, I apologize.

This ep is definitely my favorite so far. Tsukiumi is so tsun tsun dere dere she makes my loins quiver in need for her. She also has a pretty sexy way of talking. <3 Archaic language.

I hope Kristen won’t eat me alive for my graphic language. But you guys know her. She’s a beast in bed. >.>;
