Yui is playing a role fit for her. :3
Big thanks to nomae for making sure that the Romeo + Juliet lines used were the right ones and not some random ones like some other group did, and actual Shakespeare lines and not straight TLs like another group did.
PS: We need Translators/TLCs to make things work. Apply in #Chihiro-recruits.
1080p: Apply
720p: Apply
480p: Apply
DDLs: Apply

Yes! Thank you Chihiro! A big thank you for getting the lines right too. There’s a reason you guys are the best.
August 24th, 2010 at 3:02 pm
i knew there was a reason i didnt go to someone else to catch up. real romeo and juliet lines much appreciated, and all the other quality work you do as well. if only i could TL/TLC…
August 24th, 2010 at 4:24 pm

Yiu was dynamicly dynamic
August 24th, 2010 at 5:45 pm
thanks!

I really appreciate all the effort given by you guys. Shakespearean is perfect for something and I feel practically required. It really shows how much quality you put into your work.

I was a bad boy and watched ANOTHER GROUP’S subs of this and episode 20. But don’t worry, I’ll re-watch the better subs just form you. <3
August 24th, 2010 at 7:12 pm
Can you please post this on animetake with preferably hotfile or megaupload link. Thank you for subbing this awesome series
August 24th, 2010 at 9:14 pm
@atakeuser
Can you please stop making this same comment for every release? It takes some time for me to upload the DDLs, but you can rest assured that I will post them on Animetake as soon as they are done (like these are now).
Patience, grasshopper! I’m just a man with a shitty upload speed!
August 24th, 2010 at 10:17 pm
It’s worth the wait whenever you post a new release ^_^
August 24th, 2010 at 10:22 pm
Good job there, guys!
August 24th, 2010 at 10:41 pm
It’s definitely worth the wait for the Chihiro release.
I thank you.

I’m asking this out of pure curiosity, but what is this “some other group” you’re referring to? Or if you don’t want to mention a name, is it a certain group that’s usually the first one to release, or a group that also takes its time to put some effort to their quality work? Just curious…

Doesn’t Romeo and Juliet end with a kiss instead of a dagger?
August 25th, 2010 at 10:48 am
@Yuhan – Fairly certain that Romeo and Juliet ends with them both dying, it IS a Shakespeare play after all. God forbid people end up happy.
August 25th, 2010 at 1:36 pm
@Yuhan Juliet tries to drink the poision left in the cup/bottle/dick, but there is none left and she tried to get some off of Romeo’s lips with a kiss, but there is not enough there. So, she does the usual Japanese thing… Seppuku.

I sense rage in this release. Quiet rage. As if it were a metaphor for something else.
August 25th, 2010 at 4:05 pm
Romeo fakes his own death with a sleeping potion so he can get out of the city with Juliet, but Juliet doesn’t get the word and thinks he’s really dead, so she stabs herself. Romeo wakes up, sees Juliet dead, and stabs himself too.
Also, I’m surprised no one’s made any “getting wood” jokes about that picture.

What kind of skills are required to be a TLC ? Because I’m actually willing to help…But I don’t know if I’m really equal to the task (I’ve never done any checking before). I’m not bad at Japanese (I’ve been studying for 3 years in High School) and I’m pretty good at English, I think (No, I’m not a native English speaker)…
Anyway, I’d be glad to give you a hand…If only I knew what I was to do…
Translation checker. Look over an already written translation and fix mistakes. If not that, then you could apply as a TL too. 3 years high school is usually a good start.
August 25th, 2010 at 11:26 pm
How I wish I knew Japanese D: I’d totally apply if I did…well only a few more weeks and I start learning it
August 26th, 2010 at 10:05 am
I’m gonna be starting my second year of Japanese in college soon. Hopefully when I get better I can help out with TL/TLC at some point.
August 26th, 2010 at 4:55 pm
The K-On manga doesn’t use the actual Shakespearean lines so the anime was just following the manga.
Obviously they weren’t using the actual Shakespearean lines, since Shakespeare didn’t write his play in Japanese
August 27th, 2010 at 4:05 pm
thanks for the Shakespeare line effort but at some point i have to agree with derp

Okay, I’m down for that ! How do I get to #Chihiro-recruits…?
