It has come to my attention that the ZKC OVA was leaked today, prior to being ready for release. Despite the tagging on the file, it is not an official release, and thus we do not promise any support for the file, nor guarantee its quality.
If you simply want to watch the episode, go ahead and get the leaked version, we will not be providing links here, but I’m sure it’ll be easy enough to find. If you are interested in the official release for archiving purposes, a correctly formated version in both HD and SD will be provided.

It must have been a rogue Queen that infested the file causing it to mutate into a torrent. Then the Protoss attempted to use a Vortex Nuke to eradicate it, although it failed due to a Blizzard nerf, resulting in a rip in time-space that created a wormhole to Nyaa, causing a random new torrent file to be bumped from this reality and replaced with the infested ZKC file.
Blame Blizzard.

I’d rather wait for a completed file from Chihiro. They’ll have it cleaned up and will provide us proper feedback in the event of problems. My GUESS is their server must have been compromised or there was another source that got to it prior to them. Hope it’s the latter and not the former.

So for those of you who absolutely cannot wait to watch it: go ahead. grab it. But we’re not going to help you or listen to you if you come back complaining about something not working, or something not being translated right, etc.

Well, telling lies now are we? And what steps did I exactly skip? Tl was done, encode was done, timing was done, TLC was done, QC was done and applied, adding the fonts was done, muxing was done. All that wasn’t done was release, because “the 480p wasn’t done”, for more then 24 hours. At least be honest, and say that nobody but me gave a crap about this since day one, which, by the way, was also the day I finished translating it.

You decided on your own to do everything. TLC, Edit, and the first round of QC were all done by you. And that’s generally not a good thing for quality or accuracy especially considering nomae went through it again and still caught a bunch of errors. Encode obviously wasn’t done if we were still waiting for a 480p. And you ARE the only one who cared about it. You also didn’t think it was important enough to bug anyone else to work on it since it’s your policy or whatever to not bug anyone about stuff. At least I’m not flat out lying about where it’s stuck at to get the leechers off my ass about an insert song. =\

Yes…great errors: adding a space after “…”, changing “allright” to “all right” and 2 legitimate grammar errors. I bugged someone every day after the first week to work on it. I couldn’t even FIND Moshi, and I was the one who suggested to release without the songs to get it out sooner.

tbh, I don’t find it surprising Dmon did this. Our staff is a bunch of people who put RL over fansubbing and it’s really frustrating when you want to release something but noone in the staff gives a shit. Generally speaking, ALL our shows are stuck at TL. ( http://www.chihiro-subs.com/2010/07/15/project-status/ ) And without Kristen around, there isn’t anyone “powerful” enough to give it the push we need. Dmon was the TL who’s actually trying to push it, but due to frustration breaking the limiter, he released it himself. If I knew how to release some of these shows myself, I’d “probably” might have done so too. I cannot explain the frustration I have right now when writing this.
PS. RL probably means Starcraft 2. Just blame Blizzard. Or again, you can blame Piroko.

Ok I got it, blame the fact that quality check was busy checking the wins/loss ratio for their battlenet account. Hmm… maybe not.
How about you just say the episode was released prematurely and release a patch and/or make the changes that would take 15 minutes rather than making a post to bitch about it? Yea, that works.

I never claimed to know what the errors were. I wasn’t involved, you were already bitchy about it not getting released, and I honestly just didn’t care, so I never looked at the QC report. I just knew there were some. ヽ(´ー｀)ノ
I never saw you bug anyone to work on the OVA. Do my logs have some holes? Yeah. Did I still see you in the channel a bunch of times without bugging anyone? Also yeah. If I remember correctly Moshi was in Japan without a real computer most of that time. And as far as I can tell, you didn’t look very hard. All I saw was a couple failed attempts to .seen him in staff using the wrong name. Moshi also agreed to TLC the project after Kristen asked him to, but she also told him Amagami and Shiki take priority. Raijenki agreed to time the episode, again after Kristen asked him to, not you. Good job bugging people there.
You asked us if we should release without lyrics or wait. nomae said no, just wait. You effectively said “fuck you, no.” You then also later said that we should wait for the official lyrics.

@DmonHiro and CyberMirage: Now now you two. I damn well know it’s none of my business to get in the affairs of things I know nothing about, but try to keep it in-house. But that’s beside the point. When the official (for lack of a better term) release is out, you’ll let us know, right? Since we’re close to the end, I say we just clean up loose ends, finalize last minute fixes (unless release deadlines state otherwise) and just enjoy the feedback from your many fans.

I know there is a lot of tension right now, although keep in mind that you all are a team and should support one another even when the Goddess of Lolis is away. It shows your group has a lot of passion in what it does, so do not let this little incident become anything more than a learning experience that all of you can learn from and convert it into something positive for the team.
I may not know all the details, although it seems Dmon was under a lot of pressure from fans and the comments to only bug him about it prob didn’t help. Granted, don’t let fans bend you into making a decision that will cause stress and untoward drama in the team. Keep in mind if someone doesn’t get back to you on something the first or second time just keep reminding them as it may have simply slipped their mind with all the numerous things they have on their plate, as teammates don’t let other teammates blow in the wind, at lease on purpose.
As a fan, I really do appreciate all you guys (and lolis) do.

I appreciate DmonHiro for caring enough to TL this in a timely manner [particularly with everyone and their mom playing SC2], I’ve had the BD raw sitting on my drive for a few days now wondering whether to watch it or wait. This “leak” is a nice compromise for that. I’ll still get whatever final version is put out for archiving or rewatching purposes but a speedy v0.75 is much appreciated.

Yeah, I think SC was the first RTS game I ever played (that and Age of Empires). I’ve yet to get the sequel although I love watching the online matches on YouTube. If you haven’t heard of it and want to see what it’s like, check out HDStarcraft and/or Huskystarcraft for commentary on various SC2 matches. Great battles!

Couple of typos here and there, but overall I’ve seen worse. Chill out, just call the leak a ‘v0’—perfectly watchable, and a smooth 29.97fps encode—and archive the official Chihiro release, I say, when it’s all fixed up!
I hope they get that 20,000 sales figure. ZKC S2 would be win!

Yea, I’m 25. I played starcraft before you even went to kindergarden. This is the main reason why so many are scooping it up, because we remember. It’s still great, even for new players. However, the learning curve is infinite and online play will probably make you rage for the first week or so before you understand the basics.
