Considering how bad Yui sings I think it’s amazing you nailed almost everything in the opening correctly. I was reading the lyrics while watching your translation and it left me wordless. This is one of those times when you agree with those who say “some fansubbers are highly skilled, and know their Japanese better then some official translators”.
Oh, and she is definitely not saying Powerful Gig Time. I don’t care if the official lyrics say so. She definitely do not say this phrase.

@IX Yui is a good singer and most of the songs in that Anime were written or performed by the actual singer and band, aka K-ON!
And I love a lot of their songs, No, Thank You! is awesome but so is a lot of the 1st season songs. I like some of the 2nd season as well. Its preference.
Alright so just about every K-ON!! Episode I have ever downloaded from here doesn’t play right on VLC and I don’t really know what other Media player to use, without getting codec’s and shit. Anyone wanna help me? Or Is there a reason why VLC isn’t playing this particular anime right but every other anime I’ve ever played on it.
VLC just sucks. Go check our playback help page, follow the instructions for your OS, and marvel at the styled subtitles and ordered chapters you’ve been missing all your life. It’s like getting glasses for the first time :p

The newest vlc-git 1.2 isn’t half bad, actually. It plays much better now and even has support for styled subtitles now.
