Funimation has also announced that both the streams and the DVD releases will be edited for content that, “could be objectionable to some audiences.” and that there are, “scenes which are inappropriate for U.S. viewing and are not essential to the storyline.” Given the intent to censor its releases, I encourage Chihiro and the other fansub groups to not only continue subbing this show, but to make a special effort to ensure that the uncut BD/DVD versions are available to viewers, as well.
