We had a meeting, and decided to do a lot next season, thanks to a lot of recruiting (<3). We will be doing the following 5 shows next season.
- Shugo Chara Dokki Doki – Continuing
- Angel Beats – Angels fight for their future. Written and developed by Key.
- K-On!! – Moe, moe, kyun~
- Kaichou wa Maid-sama – Shoujo manga about a maid who works as a maid and meets a handsome guy. This will be done in joint with Doki.
- Working!! – 4 panel about girls working in a restaurant.
We unfortunately will not be doing the 4th season of Ikkitousen.
Soichiro thinks we should do Shin Koihime Musou instead of one of these other lame shows. All who agree, raise your hands.

The reason we won’t be doing ikkitousen is that we are a bunch of people short, since most of us don’t want to do it. Primarily, it’s missing at least a TLC, probably editor and QC as well.

It didn’t air. It was released in theaters. There’s a big difference. It’s kind of impossible to sub movies until the disks come out unless you’re okay with a camrip, and we’re not going to waste resources on distributing that. So check back in about six months when the DVD/BDs are released :p

I both read the eroge it is based on and very rarely drop a series once I’ve started watching, but I just couldn’t bring myself to finish Shin Koihime. Needless to say, I think the new Shin Koihime will be as bad (or worse) as its prequel and is undeserving of your quality subbing.

My opinion, if u guys rn’t droppin anything to do S.K.M, then its fince, but if not, i’d pick any of the above shows ovr S.K.M.

One question, first: are you still doing v2 for Zettai Karen Children?
The lineup it’s definitely good. Shin Koihime Musou would be a nice bonus though. Ikki it’s like winning the lottery, but, hey we can’t have them all. You are just so many and we can’t raise the expectation that you will do that many shows.

To those who think we can’t handle 5 shows:
Technically we’re only really doing three shows. Kaichou is a joint were Doki is supplying a majority of the work. If it stalls or is dropped, the chances are higher that it will be from their side. Shugo Chara is also less than half the length of a normal show, and is easy enough that most anyone on the staff can fill in if they need to.
As for the rest, thanks to our recent recruiting rush, we have enough staff that we felt we could handle it. Trust me, we didn’t make this decision on a complete whim. Unless every single new member vanishes on us, we have enough redundancy in our staff for someone else to step up. This is also the case for lag. In theory, if someone can’t get their part done in a timely manner, we have enough manpower that someone else can get it done for them.
tl;dr At the absolute worst, our joint with Doki falls apart and a massive staff exodus results in Working being stalled. K-on, Angel Beats, and Shugo Chara aren’t going anywhere.

CR probably do Shin Koihime Musou, other group rippers like Commie, Cruncysubs or HorribleSubs will follow up on it. So not to worry. Besides Second Season of Shin Koihime Musou is also done by Commie and HorribleSubs.
