Then I am sorry, but you fucked up something in your settings. You’re either using the wrong render, have full deblocking enabled, save the directvobsub “double subtitle resolution” option enabled, or many other settings that will fuck up your playback.
SMPlayer? Use MPC you twat, that’s what CCCP + CoreAVC goes with by default. It’s not our fault you use media player no.982 for something tested with MPC
My 5-y/o PC -can- play 720p to some extent, especially if karaoke and complicated TS are hardsubbed. But it’s just not ideal — there’s always some lag here and there, plus 33% of every file is wasted overhead due to 1280×720 getting downscaled to 1024×576. So I’d rather get 480p-576p files that represent the best mix of quality, playability, and filesize/efficiency for me. I don’t think it’s wrong to want the ideal version for your setup, whether that version is 1080p, 720p, or something lower.
So in summary, thank you for doing this release, Chihiro. No complaints about the delay here, and I’m looking forward to watching the second season in the same quality as I did the first.
I’ve got an older computer (probably at or older than 5 years), and I’m running CCCP+CoreAVC and I have no problems watching 1080p videos with Media Player Classic or even Windows Media Player.
It sounds like either you may have some sort of configuration problem or that SMPlayer is your cause of grief. First try using MPC, if that works then it was SMP that was the culprit.
If that’s not it, double check that you’re using the latest version of both CCCP and CoreAVC. If you are, make sure you have both “H.264/AVC” and “MT” unchecked in CCCP’s settings.
If that doesn’t work, uninstall both CCCP and CoreAVC and restart your computer. Reinstall CCCP and got to CCCP’s settings and uncheck both “H.264/AVC” and “MT”. Then reinstall CoreAVC, but make sure you do not install CoreAVC’s Haali Splitter.
Why would people whine, you say? It’s been my experience that no matter what, in every situation and with every single thing that happens, natural or man-made, someone WILL find something to complain about.
In any case, I was waiting for the batch to watch the 2nd half of this series. Thanks!
I got xubuntu running on a POS laptop with a celeron processor from a good 5 years ago which runs anything I throw at it just fine… HD elitist? Better than some SD scrub…
Regardless! much <3 going around for batches and such and stuff!
been waiting for it thanks a lot!!
i have no problem with any res its just that the 720p is in ordered chapters and my DVD burner always have problem with styled softsubs having subtitle errors so i have to convert it to AVI(with no OP/ED, video converters don’t seem to support ordered chapters) IMHO it would be nice to burn anime with OP and ED with it … any one could suggest a DVD burner software which supports styled softsubs and ordered chapters? I’m using “ConvertXtoDVD4″
While I don’t need it myself, since I can play 720p just fine, I think it is a nice service of Chihiro to release SD batches like this for those that can’t. That said, when it comes to 1080p however, I seem to have trouble as well. So I never download those anymore. Meh. 1080p is unnecessary anyway. I’m not a complete video quality whore, so I usually don’t notice any difference between the two, except the resolution (which doesn’t make much of a difference on my computer screen anyway). One thing I really DO notice and care about though is sound quality!
Does anyone know differences between
[Chihiro]_Asura_Cryin_-_11_[853x480_H.264_AAC][2C2706AF].mkv
and
[Chihiro]_Asura_Cryin_-_11_[853x480_H.264_AAC][47AA69B1].mkv
or not? Is this a v2? What fixed?
@Kjella If you feel like buying me a new PC go ahead. My computer is a single core computer and can’t play 720p. No, I will not buy a new PC because I don’t have the kind of money to fling around so I am very thankful for this SD batch. Before any thwat HD nerd says anything about my computer sucking. It can run all the newest games on medium to high settings without any lag.
I for one am holding onto my 8-10yr old pc waiting to graduate before i upgrade her. to the curious, yes i have the cash, yes i have the time, but due to my principles (since i vowed to upgrade after i graduate before entering my uni) i will do what i see fit =D
and yes i still play games and stuff on it (albeit with abit or rather quite alot of lag haha) like WOW and Dota hehe
/end rant
Anyway thanks tons Chihiro =D i’ve been waiting this for awhile (and no im not complaining ;D it is entirely logical to do w/e u see fit as we’re literally feeding off u)
Once more in simpler terms for the simple minded and to the ‘get-a-new-pc’ ppl:
Up urs and Can it
I’m still using my Atari 800 and have no problems watching HD. No idea what ppls problems are. Sure, my external floppy swapping is a pain, but it works!

[Chihiro]_Asura_Cryin_-_11_[853x480_H.264_AAC][47AA69B1].mkv is latest version. Chihiro have a tendency not to explicitly v2… label their releases. but usually it’s best to keep updated with their releases to ensure you having their latest.

Why would people whine? You get FREE anime! Plus if you downloaded all the episodes from the begining then you wouldnt even need the batch, like me XP
How is that possible? Most of the SDs were never released until now…
February 11th, 2010 at 8:23 pm
its over ur head bro
February 11th, 2010 at 9:12 pm
Pff, SD sucks.
If you can’t view HD-films: go grab a better computer/upgrade your shit ^^.
February 11th, 2010 at 9:34 pm
im on it!
February 11th, 2010 at 9:45 pm
@Kjella
I can watch things in 720, but cant quite handle 1080 :p but i’m ok with that for now
February 11th, 2010 at 10:46 pm
HDfags are prolly the most elitist fags on the planet.
If you want to buy me a new computer, feel free.
February 11th, 2010 at 10:55 pm
@noko: Oh bullshit. ANY PC form the last 5 years can play 720p if configured properly. If your PC is older then that, I have no sympathy for you.
February 11th, 2010 at 11:04 pm
This is only a year old and plays 720p. Lags like a whore when it does it, but still.
And that’s with CCCP+CoreAVC under SMPlayer.

Best of luck!

Yes 11 was v2′d
The thing is that I don’t know the changes. This was v2′d back in July in the 1-13 batch. I assume some script updates.
