So, we’re finished. We decided to release 26 in the batch instead of individually. Less torrents, I guess. Anyways, we made minor corrections in every episode, and implemented in the redrawn OP/ED that the studio put in later on. Because of the minor corrections, all crcs are different.

Nazo Edit: For those of you that are wondering what I changed, they are mostly minor tweaks and a couple of fixes to mistakes that went through QC. The main changes that would affect people are:
- “gravitational superstring” -> “superstring gravity”. It’s actually said the latter way, but I had used the former because fundamentally, I wasn’t sure if the latter was a real term in physics (which it seems to be).
- “Familiar”->”Daughter” when they actually pronounce “Daughter”. In the novels, they used the kanji for “familiar” (pronounced “tsukaima” and I’m too lazy to look up the actual kanji right now) but the accompanying hiragana pronunciation used “doutaa” (or “Daughter”). Following the series in season two, it makes more sense why the author used this term so I changed that.
There were a few other fixes, mostly for consistency reasons (although some were just errors), that were done in each ep, so it’s not just those two bigger changes above. Fortunately, the last ep does NOT contain either reference, so if you’re fine with the original files, you don’t really need to update (no real TL fixes). I’m not sure if you can just rename your files and if it will hash most of it so you don’t have to redownload as much… probably not…
I believe the same fixes will be done for the 480p, but fortunately for you, since we were behind, there’s less to update for you.

Thanks for all your hard work Chihiro! While I understand your reasons for doing it as a batch, as a downloader it’s a little frustrating. Feels like all the money spent on my broadband download has been waisted. Although I did notice utorrent did give me the choice to choose to opt out on all if I unchecked the box before pressing “o.k.” while they did not make it completely clear which was which ep.! Thanks for bringing it to us Chihiro. Actually others doing this one have gone for a batch too it seems!

I’ve only tested on OS X, if the .bat file works on Windows or not I couldn’t say. You’ll have to get the xdelta3 executable from somewhere else. Just place all the files from the zip in the same directory as the “v1” files. It will create the “v2” files in the same directory.
OP2 and ED2 patches were as big as the new files so just download the new ones from the batch torrent. Also since I already burned S1 to DVD I couldn’t make a patch for episode 11. Sorry.
In conclusion the zip file contains patches for 14-25 only and you’re on your own to get it working

Okay. Wasn’t working but I got it working. I got xdelta3.exe from some other group’s patch for some other episode.
But there was a problem. Anyway, I opened the .bat file and deduced the problem. This could be because you used OS X and it added that \ character to all the brackets but I dunno.
Just edit the .bat file with notepad, use “find and replace”, and replace all “\[" with "[" and "\]” with “]”. Then the .bat works fine. (I’m using XP)
Did a check against the batch torrent and yeah it matches. Now all that needs to be downloaded is episode 26, 11, OP2 and ED2. 1088mb instead of 3460mb. Not perfect but much better. Thanks.

@ Alien Gamer , the eps number did not show nincumpoop! That’s why they weren’t clear until I hit o.k. utorrent wouldn’t tell me which was which so I could’t uncheck any eps if I wanted to! If the numbers were visible they would have been clear don’t you think and at my age I have well and truly learnt how to read numbers you cheaky young pup! I’m not a school kid! Use some common sense!

It means they’ll forget about it, and never bother to release it.
Take the XviD versions of Gendaimahou for example.
“Oh yeah, we’ll encode them [the eight episodes] and v2 five and six then release them in a day or two.”
They never bothered, and then they dropped XviD without announcing it to anybody.
So, yeah, I wouldn’t hold your breath.

The encoder’s computer died, but now the encoder has a faster computer. The SDs are encoded now, so it should be out soonish.
Also, the Gendai xvid dropping was announced on Dec 1st due to the encoder disappearing and not having the lossless anymore to encode with.
