Happy New Years!
With the New Years, we can claim the following:
Completed Series: Asu no Yoichi, Akikan, Minami-ke Okaeri, Zettai Karen Children, Maria-sama ga Miteru 4th Season, K-On, Hatsukoi Limited, Princess Lover, Gendai Mahou, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (2009), To Love Ru OVA, Zettai Shougeki ~Platonic Heart~, Training with Hinako
Ongoing Series: Hayate no Gotoku (23/25), To Aru Kagaku no Railgun (10/24), Shugo Chara Dokki Doki (11/51?), Asura Cryin (25/26), Sasameki Koto (7/13)
Dropped Series: None
Sasameki Koto ended, Shugo Chara and Railgun both take the first week in January off, and Asura ended. So, here are a few updates:
1. Railgun is looking at a double release on Sunday or Monday. Southrop, where are you!!! ;_;
2. Shugo Chara will be caught up by January 11th.
3. Sasameki Koto is making progress, finally. It’d make more if fnn would come back, but he disappeared entirely from the internet. I hope he’s all right… But, if he doesn’t, we’re aiming to have all episodes translated by January 24th, so this should hopefully be finished by the end of January.
4. We are still planning to do Sora no Woto, but it may still wind up canceled if the show is too hard.
5. We need a translator to do 2 episodes of Hayate for us. Please contact me in #Chihiro-recruits or via PM.
Anything else is moving as usual.

I still think it’s the holidays screwing with the mix. The missing members will come back soon enough. I’ve been following a lot of these shows via steaming in the mean time but even that’s behind in some instances. I really do want the Chihiro treatment on these shows but there are real people with real lives making it happen behind the scenes. However, it would be quite the loser move if they abandoned the group without any warning. It’s a little strange, though, that it’s just the TL/TLC group that vanished. When they come back (you know they will) ask them to give you some notice if they may be absent in the future so you can plan accordingly. Don’t be rude or mean about it as that will just drive them away for good and you’ld be screwed, just make it clear that it’s caused problems that you would like to avoid in the future. In a lot of ways, running a subbing group like this is a lot like running a business. You have to make your customers happy first and foremost but you have to appease your staff as well so they don’t abandon you and still give you their best effort. Have you tried e-mailing them to find if/when they may return?

Yes, 4 is out. There will be 5 and 6 coming later. So far, 4 is TL/TLC’d – just that no one gives a fuck about this shitty OVA to time it. (lol me)

I hope you guys will stick with Sora no Woto all the way through. Himatsubushi did the first episode, and they did great. But they aren’t planning to continue with it. You guys are the only group left to count on… ;_;
