@Guin: just use the CCCP pack, you get two good players with that. If MPC fails then you still got Zoom Player. If both fail, you should consider uninstalling CCCP, restart, then perform a full system scan, defrag, restart and reinstall.
If even that fails, play in on a different computer, or reinstall the entire PC.
@Xeferah restarting, system scans and reinstalling the computer won’t do anything but be a waste of time.
@guin uninstall CCCP, K-lite, VLC (if its installed), and any other codec packs, etc. restart. I strongly recommend you download CCCP and Zoom player. I’ve had only limited frame loss on a 5-7 year old computer with Zoom player.
If your machine has a Dual core or a Quad Core that is @ 2.0 Ghz, VLC is sufficient to play videos with.
@Frank you’re the one that has it backwards. I don’t download 480p unless i have to.
Good release but still waiting on the SD release and you got your numbers wrong… 6000 waiting on SD 3 waiting on HD, get it right goofballs! Thanks again and happy holidays!
@Lake: right, sure, I know I personally was waiting on the SD release so that I can go watch it on my Apple IIe. After that, I plan to go to the grocery store and pay with a personal check, and when I get home I’m going to settle down for a nice night of listening to records on my gramophone. I need to get up early in the morning so I can milk the cows and churn my own butter.
@Lem You have it all wrong, I don’t have anything as advanced as an apple IIe. Couldn’t afford one no how. Got me a Vic 20 with a tape drive and a monochrome monitor, you know that neet green color? I’m savin up fer that advanced 4 color jobby I say in ma 1979 catalog, they should still have em kickin around in a back room sumers. I mean, heck if I can’t power it off a pair of gerbles on a tread mill then what use is a fancy calculator good fer? Hell this internet thing is just a fad anyway. I’m puttin my money in dial-up!
I don’t think it’s a matter of how many people are waiting for the 480p, it’s just that encoding should take two hours at most on a crappy computer, of which less than ten minutes require any attention from the encoder. I’ve never been able to figure out why encoders take so long… I always just set up everything, click “run,” and go to sleep, and things turn out fine. So the 480p releases should be no sweat, and this delay makes no sense. If someone would be kind enough as to give a good explanation, I would appreciate it.
For the record, I’m not waiting for the 480p because my computer can’t play 720p. I just don’t like videos taking up my entire screen.
@SystematicChaos, You are absolutly correct. The lack of 480p offerings starting from ep.17 to present is just bad manners on the part of the encoder. it has nothing to do with any real difficulties on his/her part. In all reality given the size of the screen I display on there is no reason to download a 720p over a 480p I save myself hard drive space and as for archiving? PLEASE! ist’s just a story. and honestly if you put it up next to something like say Scrapped Princess, it comes in a VERY distant last. I for one only view and delete the ep’s after a few days but if saving them for postarity is your thing then by all means get the 720p versions. Any way, as I said, this is only a matter of poor manners on the part of the encoder, not any real difficulty on his/her part.
One of the many ppl waiting for SD’s… They seem to work the best in AllToAvi convertor so… No I don’t have a crappy pc but some of my friends do… So it’s rude to give them a copy with a series and then they’re pc crashes… XD
[el quote]And about 6,000 waiting for the 720p.[ /el quote]
So you guys are of course encoding the files for each of those 6000 individually, right? What a service LOL

P.S. I eagerly await the release in RealVideo format. I’m talkin’ .rm, not .rmvb here people. Time to get funky, old-school style.
