In case you haven’t noticed, we have hit a roadblock. I guess the easiest way to explain it is that out of the 4 TLers and 3 TLCs in Chihiro, 3 have had computer problems, 1 has had internet problems, and 1 has just disappeared for nearly a week without warning. A group that loses 5 translators/TLCs in a matter of a month simply cannot function, as you can see here.
We are planning to finish up everything we’ve started, and will be continuing all continuing shows onto next season, somehow or another. But all future plans have been cancelled until/unless something changes – either by January 4th, or by January 25th. This could be by people fixing their ongoing computer problems, new translators applying to chihiro and not disappearing an hour later, or if people who have disappeared come back.

oi oi, chiro fansubs CANT simply close down right? Evn if u dont get ppl by the 25th, it doesn’t mean u’ll close down right? Aftr all, u guys cud just take up fewer projects….The one thing about the fan base of Chiro, is that we are patient enough for a release…So dont worry too much about how long sumthing will take…
U guys r one of the best fansubber’s there…Quality, and accuracy are just awesome…Good luck finding the recruits

Well, you have our thx at leats for letting us know what’s going on. AS with others, if I had any real knowledge of Japanese I’d gladly help (been watching your subs since you started), but all I’ve picked up has been through watching anime. If there’s anything else we can do to help you keep going, just make another post and hopefully the internet will respond!

Ow. That’s bad news. Computer problems can either : be the user’s fault (catching virus) or not (ex. hardware fault). Internet problems… only and if ONLY ISP wouldn’t be such douchebags and offer real tech support and good service without being greedy about it. Lucky enough, mine is greedy but my services are good.
Only if I could better understanding of Japanese, be a better timer, be a good editor or something, I would run and come to your help. Because of my lack of experience and knowledge, I can’t. What a shame.

As for my Japanese, not quite sure if 2 years of university study and JLPT Level 4 is enough to get by… (would have done level 3, but i was scared of the listening section…which is kind of important for these projects)
