Personally, I’d prefer that Chihiro subbed something that no one else was – or that only poorer quality groups were subbing – rather than duplicating effort. Yes, that would be true. I forgot about the subtitle in the name. So, I guess that it’s in the running. But as has been pointed out, it’s not exactly the kind of show that Chihiro typically subs.
In any case, it is what it is. I’ll worry about what’s coming out and who’s subbing it once it actually comes out. Though I’m sure that there are plenty of others who are quite interested in divining what Chihiro’s other show will be.

This might be a strange and unrelated question but does anyone has experience with converting MKV’s to .avi? I usely don’t go this far but the only site that releases nice quality .avi’s hasen’t realesed anything since eppi 5 almost 2 months ago and the other one is realy crappy quality… So now I’m basicly looking for a way to convert the nice quality Chihiro released epi’s to .avi so I can play them nicely on any pc… So I wonder if anyone can help me a bit with this… Thanks… ^^;
There is AllToAvi(freeware), Ultra Video Converter(pay program), and AVSVideoConverter(pay program), You can select the audio(if daul audio) and subs. They work with most codecs that fansubbers use. Ultra Video Converter and AllToAvi to a great job hardcoding subs,Ultra Video Converter does the best job out of the two. alltoavi will ask you to go into restrictive mode if its a H.264 codec,but you can try regular mode first since regular mode is faster than restrictive mode. With AllTOAVI it has a “lock aspect ratio” option which makes it a lot easier to change the resolution. If you want to keep the size around 150-170 MB use keep the videobitrate around 700-900kbps. If you want it to play on dvd players that canplay divx/xvid files then make sure the resolution is no bigger than 720×480. The slower your pc the longer it will take to convert from MKV to AVI. On my old which had a gig of ram,1.7 gh celeron it took 20-45 minutes. On my new PC with 8 gigs of ram and a Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q8200 2.33 GHz it takes 5-10 minutes to convert MKV to AVI.
If you do not want convert you can try zoom playey standard which is free. Just make sure you let it download the necessary codecs.You may need to right click on the video while its playing and go to stream selection for the subs and audio selection.

It get’s a little bit streched wich I hardly notice and the quality of the opening goes a little off but the show itself stay’s in the perfect quality as the MKV file… (and even now the opening is still a whole lot better quality as where I downloaded .avi’s from) And I’m sorry for Chihiro staff but even the subs look better now… Not so gigantic… Thanks again… XD
I know I know… But I can’t go to random person’s pc and say “Hey I want to watch this… So I’ll have to instal this, this & that…” Besides I alway’s sorta have problems with playing MKV’s… Subs are missing, playback gives weird pixels, sound is missing, it doesn’t syngronise… In .avi everything is complete in the single file as it should be… But that’s just my opinion… Good thing about i-net is that ppl can have their own choices with that… XD

Actually, I think you just need AC3 Filter…or CCCP. And never, just never, use VLC. You can try DivX Player, which is what I use~

9th letter is M or 9 letters in length
M4 might mean the fourth letter is M or 4th word starts with M
<4 could mean it’s less than four words
and the 1 might mean the season number :p
If it’s a series that starts airing in the next season then you just have to look at all the names that contain the letters posted to far “OSASI”, then look at stuff like number of vowels, words, letters, if you think the code represents the name of the show. Otherwise it could mean virtually anything to background info, actors, air date, manga etc
I highly doubt it’s incredibly complicated, it’s just that without some kind of key it just looks like a bunch of useless numbers to most people. And I can’t be stuff going any further than this :p

Actually, I think you just need AC3 Filter…or CCCP. And never, just never, use VLC. You can try DivX Player, which is what I use~

@Jikokuten: I don’t like installing things in my DOS… And DivX get’s stuck all the time for some odd reason… But I’m already able to fix the problem thanks to EzikialRage… Works perfect enough for me… =)

It’s probably something like…
9th letter is M or 9 letters in length
M4 might mean the fourth letter is M or 4th word starts with M
<4 could mean it’s less than four words
and the 1 might mean the season number :p
If it’s a series that starts airing in the next season then you just have to look at all the names that contain the letters posted to far “OSASI”, then look at stuff like number of vowels, words, letters, if you think the code represents the name of the show. Otherwise it could mean virtually anything to background info, actors, air date, manga etc
I highly doubt it’s incredibly complicated, it’s just that without some kind of key it just looks like a bunch of useless numbers to most people. And I can’t be stuff going any further than this :p

Hmmm… based on the letters that Kristen revealed for the past several days (and based on how long the code is), I’m guessing Chihiro will sub Sasameki Koto. Plus, the theme of the show kinda fits Chihiro’s usual preference. LOL
