@Dunder: What gets me is they went through the trouble to make all of the episodes difference with different cells despite having the same story. It’s like they said. “Let’s take a short incident and make it into 8 nearly identical episodes with the same lines and the same plot”, “Ok, but let’s keep redrawing it so they don’t think we’re being lazy.” Somebody actually had to make the decision to spend more time and money to remake essentially the same episode 8 times.

Yes we American types know vacation. In fact, it’s ten weeks a year for Summer and various days and/or weeks at different parts of the year (a random week in Spring, two surrounding the 25th of December that has in the past ten or so years started officially being called ‘Winter’ Break even though everyone really knows what they mean). And that’s only for compulsory education (elementary, middle, and high school) whereas for college the Summer breaks (assuming you aren’t taking summer courses) is about three months and Winter break is a full month.

I’m feeling déjà vu much more acutely from this episode than from the others. Perhaps because this is exactly the same as episode six? (same clothes and everything.) Please tell me you “accidentally” (with or without quotes) uploaded episode six instead of episode seven? Because this is seeming perhaps TOO evil for KyoAni. (not that I’m intimately familiar with exactly how evil KyoAni is.)

I think that the Endless Eight episodes are nice, because not many ppl would dare to do something like that. It’s also quite unusual/unexpected, like the nonlinear airing of the first season of Haruhi Suzumiya. It’s original.
The problem is that it takes away too much episodes for other stories, like The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. That’s what I dislike about the Endless Eight arc. Oh well.

Yes, I was hoping it to end at 6 episodes. Now, I hope it will end with the 8th episode. I think I should be able to deal with 8 episodes.
The 14th of July, Aya Hirano has said that voice acting for Endless Eight was done. Recordings are done 2-4 weeks prior to an episode actually airing, so it will end soon. 
I have not watched the whole 6th and 7th episodes. Well, I’m just skipping to the end to see what’s going to happen, although I already know when reading the messages of Kirsten.

The problem with making the DBZ/Bleach/Naruto drawn out filler comparison is that those shows atleast had a reason to do so, they were trying to let the manga gain some ground so they didnt catch up to it. Hell look at Rurouni Kenshin and Inuyasha, they drove those shows into cancellation from too many fillers waiting for the manga. But this show doesnt have that excuse they have plenty of stories to choose from and pretty much made the point that this season was about the Disappearance not 8 or more episodes of essentially the exact same thing. I also personally think some of the scenes are reused (bits from the begining with the baseball part, most likely a chunck of the voice acting parts as well) which i feel is just lazy, but to each his own i guess.

I sort of agree. I don’t think it’s a bad story but to drag it out like this was definitely a mistake. Maybe two or three eps of it would have been okay but this is ridiculous. I found it interesting at first but now I just look forward to it getting done with. The only reason I watched this one is with the hope that they finally figured out how to stop the cycle. Unfortunately, it’s just more of the same.

They cut corners with animations in alot of anime though. Like they would repeat the same mouth movements over and over. It’s usually not that bad though, im also sure they dont have that many pictures for one secon. I always thought they used some sort of layering program and just moved some selected areas while animating them?

@Shino: 30 days is in my book about 6 weeks. You do work 5 days a week, right ? An example: for a full-time job in the grocery store you get about 45 days a year off. That’s based on working 5 days a week, so 9 weeks in total. And on national holidays you’re off too, of course. Strangely enough, the ‘higher educated’ the job is, the fewer vacation days you get.
Another fun note: here in my country (Netherlands) about half of the entire working population works part-time. We stand lonely at the top with that percentage

In any case, there is nothing you can do against that. If you’re sick, your boss can send a doctor to your house to check if you weren’t lying.
What happens if you are sick and you run out of sick days ? What happens if you are never sick ? Sicks days …. worst invention ever.
@Shino: The most common way to work here is work 40 hours a week, but get paid 38 hours a week. This means for every 19 weeks you work you can take an ADDITONAL week off. And when I say 40 hours a week, I really mean 40 hours a week. Overwork happens, but then you just take off early the next day, or the next week.
