Naturally, this episode is a TBS airing of 4:3 that we have decided to stretch to 1280×720 in order to create a superior quality using a tool called “Plaster-Project”. This tool is able to magically redraw the parts of the picture that TBS cut out from the original which heightens the quality of all our releases.
(No, our releases are still 720×480 from BS-i, don’t worry. :p)

I have a question, why does Widescreen take so long? It is not that I am blaming you, but I thought it are the same subs but then pasted on an other movie. But since it is taking so long there has to be some reason, just wondering what

I think the WS takes some time cos they wait for the right raw + a little laziness. usually people pump up when dealing with new eps but not with eps that they already release once… I dont blame them cos almost everyone like that.

essiw, honestly, just trying to fit these encodes in amongst the many others we do takes a while. Quartet is more that we are basically re-doing the episodes.

Plaster Project… seems similar to Photoshop CS4′s Content-Aware Scaling.
