Minami-ke Okaeri 09 Released!

Sure Hosaka-sempai, I’ll buy a cake from you! I’ll buy anything from you! Just stop chasing Haruka-chan and become my husband~

I can’t believe it’s episode 09 already… Only 4 more episodes? T_T I’ll admit, there have been a good amount of shows I was glad to see end, but this just feels wrong ending already… Can we have a S2? OK… S4. >.>

Tracker issues should be resolved. If they aren’t, please tell me ONCE in a post here.

  20. Silent Xenocide Says:

    @jojo
There was only one volume of manga for Kyou no go no ni. The TV series was stretched out as it was, not sure how they would do a second season.

  21. luigimario Says:

    Hosaka = Kimochi Warui (Disgusting)

  22. Zig Says:

    I <3 the spring banner(zz)

  23. Zedd Says:

    Hosaka is awesome.

  24. Zig Says:

Guys, are you going to do a Kyou no Go no Ni batch? Not to sound like a fucking dickhead, but you reported the release date for it and you are 58 days late : |

  25. Yay Says:

Hosaka literally takes the cake. :D

  26. Argrond Says:

Wow, Atsuko and Hosaka-sempai are real heroes of the 9-th episode. What else can I say? Super-mega anime!!! I want to see Hitomi one more time. And Hayami-sempai, too. And Minami brothers. And other guys. And the 4-th season. XDDD This anime must never be ended!!!!! Minami-ke forever!!!!! :) )))))))

  27. Dist Says:

Come on guys, it’s been two days already and no XviD available ? I wouldn’t complain otherwise but stupid Xbox only plays .avi -.-.

    Need moar Minami-Ke :(

  28. David B Says:

… and .avi files are the easiest to transcode on an Apple Mac, with their subtitle tracks intact, for playback on the iPod, iPhone, Apple TV and PSP.

  29. Dist Says:

Who the hell watches anime on iPod or iPhone… Small screen = Eww ? I tried to transcode some avi files earlier on myself and they came in the form which would fit iPod perhaps fine but try watching 80mb file on 32” TV will you ._.

Anyway nvm then Chihiro <_<, I guess I’ll have to go and buy new monitor even tho I have no money just because I need watch anime..

  30. jotto Says:

Some of us also have older computers that can’t hack h264. :(

  31. David B Says:

I love watching anime on my iPhone! My bus journey into work is 26 minutes, so I can watch one episode along the way.

I transcode the XviD down to 640×360 H.264, so that I can also send it to my set-top-box to watch on my 32″ TV. The picture quality is fine for standard definition wide-screen PAL TV sets. I’d prefer to use MKV and keep the soft-subs, but that would require me to buy Final Cut Studio for transcoding… I can’t afford that yet, so instead I have to work with hard-subs.

  32. Dist Says:

    With what do you guys transcode this stuff anyway ? The one I transcoded made the quality go really crap ;.;

  33. David B Says:

I use iSquint, Quicktime Pro (with a huge number of plug-ins enabled), and handbrake.

  34. Andrew Says:

Thanks for subbing this series! You do a great job!

I just had two questions though.

    1) Do you know when you’ll be releasing the XviD version?

    2) The subtitle font in this episodes seems to be vastly different from the rest of the series and it’s a lot more difficult to read. Any reason for the change?

  35. Milaga Says:

    Thanks for subbing this all.

I want my anime on my Mac Mini attached to my TV. I’m more of a PC nut than a Mac nut but I’m learning. As far as I can tell there really isn’t anything for a mac that decodes h264 well enough to play at an acceptable level. I’ve been grabbing both the Xvids and h264 until that day …

If you can suggest a good h264 player for a mac (not VLC, not gmplayer) by all means do!

Oh yeah, and what David B said … xvids are good for those long shuttle rides.

  36. luigimario Says:

“All to Avi” is the best FREE transcoder i’ve found for h.264, it does an owesome job, and is good for noobs (with pre arranged setting) and advanced people with lots of customization if you know what you are doing.

anyone else tried this prog before? anyone who does try it, let me know how it goes. i use it to convert some of the Chihiro Xvids that wont play directly on the PS3 and it only takes 4 minutes. (and i have an old computer – pentium 4 single core, 2.5Ghz, 1Gb RAM, and 128Mb video card) so if I can do it ,anyone can. converting h.264 mkv’s to avi takes about as long as the ep itself, 2-25 mins.

  37. Putz Says:

Are we EVER going to see the xvid of this and ZKC 47 or should we make and release our own?

  38. Zen Says:

How much LATER for the AVI version? 10x Chihiro 4 all the realeases!!! You’re the only best!!!

  39. David B Says:

Thank you for the XviD. A to whoever did the encoding! :-)

  40. luigimario Says:

Thanks a bunch, I was going into Minami-Ke withdrawl!! (if there were a junkie smiley, I would use it here)

  41. ranmachua Says:

Is it possible to leave a direct download link for xvid or avi version after you have released them? That’s because somehow the torrents just don’t work or start for me.

    Thanks.

  42. meimei Says:

    Thanks again!
