So, this is episode 13 and unfortunately it’ll be our last episode. As previously announced the series will be dropped due to licensing. For this, special, final episode we’ve thought about adding something nice, so uncle windstar made you some karaoke for the OP and ED. Another funny fact is that we’ve actually thought it’s impossible to bring out episode 13 since we couldn’t find a TLer – I went through hell finding one. XD

Really sad … this show cracks me up and Chihiro’s releases were the best there are for Skip Beat …

Its sad that you are going to drop it. I must say i got myself a CR membership for a short time and i regret it. This is a backstep in quality, paying for TV ( and not even DVD) Releases. And that childish website, if you run a buisness do it serious.
Now i am waiting for Ureshii to release this in good quality.

here is the crunchyroll official terms of watching this anime with them you have to wait 6 day from the release date to watch it for free or spend $7 a month to watch it when it comes out.

Either they try for another season or they will just go and do a crappy ending… Still it’s a bit frustrating we won’t get to see how the CM story is going to end, it’s a good thing the manga is there, or i would feel really annoyed…

I think people are bashing CR unjustifiably
- aside from Japan, you can view Skip Beat EVERYWHERE — there are NO region restrictions for most simulcasted shows.
- the *free* streaming h.264 option looks great, exactly like a good cap with slightly lower res.

Thank you VERY much for subbing the series until now. Although it’s slightly disappointing, since you did a kickass job, I’m really glad you decided to sub until 13 instead of just dropping it as soon as news hit. (:
I’ll enjoy this…it’ll have to last me a while. I’m not watching on CR. Even the super-high quality for paying members only isn’t good enough for me.

For those of you who can’t see CR vids due to region difficulties, try Ultrasurf or Hotspot Shield.
I have a friend use Ultrasurf to successfully view Skip Beat from the philippines.

Drooping it for licensing is BS. Fansubbers sub for the fans and if they have any balls, stupid letters don’t scare them. Oh BTW CrunchyRippoffartists began as a pirate site. Yeah they went legit, so they can scam money. Now they are bitching about what they used to do, what they did and now make money for? Fight the hypocrisy, don’t cave in to backstabbing, money grubbing enemies of free fansubs.

If you’re really a fan, you’d be willing to pay to support the industry. Taking stuff for free does not in any way encourage the artists to keep producing work.
I’m not saying you need to pay CR, but you’re just telling Chihiro to take a risk for you for no gain at all. How does that make you a fan?

How do you know i don’t buy things when the come out commercially? fact is i do… Just because I use fansubs to watch them at first to see if i like them certainly does not mean I will not go buy it when it comes out. Because I do especially for series that i love such as this one… I just think its wrong to pay Thieving roll to provide crappy subs and video that freezes up etc etc. Fact is when Skip Beat comes out on DVD or Blu Ray I will be buying the discs. I just firmly believe i shouldn’t have to pay a site like Rip off Roll. Believe me in that much…

agree with “Yo what up” 100% , and he seems to imply CR doesn’t deserve any money for providing their service, some of which goes back to the license holders. This attitude is not being a fan since it does not in any way encourage companies to continue developing the anime market outside Japan.
And if you’re really a hardcore fan, even if you can somehow justify not paying people for their work, don’t ask someone else to take risks for you, start your own fansub group.
I’m glad companies are willing to try and correct an outdated business model. This may not be the fix but it’s an attempt to find something that will encourage fans to spend money so that artists can make a living doing what they do best.

Turbo… I tried the fansub thing sometime ago. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to continually do it. This was way back in the days when Kenshin was in season 1 and I was doing fansubs for a local comic shop(They didnt’ charge you to rent it because it was fansubbed but in order to rent it you had to rent or buy something licensed). I was just reeling from the shock of how bad Rip Off Roll is watching Skip Beat on there was the worst. I wouldn’t mind a service like this if the service worked properly know what i mean? Instead i get freeze ups every 5 mins and incomplete episodes because the rest of the thing won’t load. ^___^ if Chichiro brings it back I certainly won’t complain…

I’m sorry, but I don’t know if I’m going to continue to watch Chihiro subs now.
Simply because every anime gets licensed when it starts getting good, and if I am watching that series from Chihiro fansubs, I’ll get cut off; just like I did here.
Thankfully someone else is subbing Skip Beat besides stupid Crunchyroll.

It is a shame that you will not be able to sub this anime anymore but I truly enjoyed it while it lasted. It was only a matter of time that this series was going to be licensed. Thanks for subbing this series all the way up to episode 13 guys. I will continue the legacy that is skip beat by releasing touched up Crunchyroll subs for the rest of the episodes.
By the way, the dvds are coming out soon. Would it be alright if I used semi-edited scripts that are based on your work for those?

Crunchyroll wanted to do is to put an end to the fan-subbing.TV Tokyo is losing money cause of us, if we fansubbed more they’ll even lose money.It’s all about money.What if you have made an Anime series that everyone likes and they subbed it into their own language will you lose money? heck yea!! I won’t let anyone take all the credits for all my hard work.America has this rule of protecting people’s right that includes businesses.

I loved your subs, they were great, so nice and big, I could see them well. I’m so sad that you can’t sub this any more, it is one of my favorite manga and I just love the anime. You guys are terrific! Just wanted to tell you. Yeah, even if I buy the dvd I don’t think the quality of the subs will be good, I’ve bought many legit dvds with awful subs, couldn’t even understand what they were trying to say (example: Bambino). So glad there are fansubs like you.
