Someone who makes a post all in capitals, yet not being insulting or an ass in anyway, just making a simple relevant question… or people who laugh and mock the use of upper case, but don’t answer the question at all? You see, there are assholes and “kids” who use lower case typing too.
Anyways, I haven’t watched any of this anime yet, MV, so I can’t give an opinion. Hopefully someone who has watched it will actually make a “mature” reply to your question.
MV, watch Ef a tale of memories first before you watch this btw, it’s not really needed but it’ll make u understand a bit more at least and will make it more fun to follow the story, and yes this anime rules ;p
There exist two series of ef:
First Season: Ef – a tales of memories
Second Season: Ef – a tales of melodies
About the anime: If you want to watch a new style of anime then I recomend to watch both. When I watched for the first time ef I tought; “This is the first time I have seen an anime with a cool style like this”. I don`t explain the story but belive me, it`s something new.
Anyway, I have watched more than 4000 episode of different animes. Of course you can`t compare an anime like ef with something like Naruto, Bleach, Code Geass or anything else. I want to say that you don`t make a mistake if you watch both seasons of ef.
Something else: This is my way of thinking but if you watch this anime do it without light in your room an turn the speakers to the max. ef is one of the animes that you have to watch like the cinema.
The opening of ef 2 is better than the song of the first season and I do really recommend to watch first season 1 and then season 2.
Ef is, in my opinion, one of the more outstanding anime series. Maybe it’s just me, but the Bleach/Naruto/Code Geass themes are getting cliched. Ef is a refreshing look at how anime can be truly meaningful – I can seriously imagine this being made into a live-action TV drama series!
Having said that, Ef is indeed slow-paced compared to most of the anime series currently being shown/subbed, and you need to pay attention in order to follow the storyline.
@Chihiro: As always, great work, I’m always looking forward to your release. It’s nice that you update the status ASAP, so that impatient people like me can check every few minutes and be gratified to see something else on the to-do list struck out.
Ty ok i will thankz again so you mean watch first then second season right i dont wana get confuced so ill try to see first then second um and that looks fun like a cinema ok thankyou
oh and tell me more about it i wana know whats the difference between the first season and the second season i ask because both of this anime have the EF but the names are different
You have right, about that you have to pay attention by ef with the storyline. I don`t now about you but I can speak german and for myself it`s nice to now what are the phrase that are put in the anime. It`s really intressting because they have not much to do with the storyline but I can`t ingore them. I don`t now why.
What I forgot to mention is that the soundtrack, do much for this anime. I think the soundtrack of ef, for example in the episode 06, the part in the church, change the feeling for the spectator rapid. I haven`t watched many animes with such a dramatic change in the soundtrack.
I have to say that in the fall season 2008, I have watched more or less all animes that were relased and there were only two animes with an fantastic soundtrack: ef and Code Geass.
Well, you have to watch the anime by yourself beacuse if I start to explain, I finish tomorrow morning.
Watch first Season 1 ef – a tales of Memories
afterward Season 2 ef – a tales of Melodies
Look out for the last words.
Go to http://www.animenewsnetwork.com and search for ef.
MV,
yeah hey um ive been doing this for a while and when ever theres something i have no idea about i just use http://www.wikipedia.org trust me theres always someone out there that knows lol trust me i do it all the time lol wikipedia is my bestest friend lol
About watching this anime with lights turned off and loud volume, I absolutely agree with you. First of all, it allows you to see better and capture the quality, so you don’t see reflections of light on your monitor, be it LCD or flat-panel. Second, you would be able to feel how emotional this anime can truly be, since the soundtrack is vital in making this anime what it is.
And yes, as I will agree again. The soundtrack for ef and Code Geass are fantastic. Code Geass might have been a trainwreck, lol, but the soundtrack definitely deserves praise.
ok i got a lil question u know how chihito has to love-ru right and it has ended a while back
do u think there will be a season 2 the thing is that the ending suck bad well no really it wast that bad but still i dint give me the slit idea of it being over for ever i more of gave me the idea of a second season being release some time 09 idk but what do u think about it
Totally agree with JTDR … i’ve also watched @ 7000 episodes and over 50 movies … but ef is truly something special .
Ef – a tale of memories -> pay attention , and watch till the end of the series since its one of those that starts slowly but it just gets better and better and probably by @ 6-8 episode your totally hooked ( specially if your into this genre )
Ef – a tale of melodies -> pay even more attention since its more complex than the first and @ episode 6 just from one scene you start to have a totally different feeling about this show .
ps. Keep it up Chihiro we want ef we love ef <3 … there’s already a release on this but i don’t plan on watching anything else than Chihiro’s release .
adding on to JTDR, in EF everything has a meaning. The feelings and emotions of the charaters are not onli depicted through the dialogues and soundtracks, but they are also protrayed through the art of the background. Every moment in EF has a meaning: symbols, foreshadows etc. This is why EF is such a masterpiece. A must watch anime IMO.
Just to add that if you have enough patience to appreciate it, ef is one of the very best anime series of the last couple of years. Definitely watch the first series (Memories) first. Not as vital as Higurashi, which was really Part 1 and Part 2 in the seasons, but I can’t see how anyone could fully understand or appreciate Melodies without having seen Memories.
