So, this has to be the hardest collective episode Chihiro has ever done. It was easier to translate than To Love Ru 23, but it was much harder in terms of timing and editing and typesetting. In addition, there was a new ED.
Some specifics:
1. Before you say it, any time there is a kanji on the screen, the bottom is what the kanji reads, the top is what the little things next to the kanji make it read. The first reads the same in both cases
2. The scene before the ED was timed/retimed 5 times, trying to make it look the best. This was the most popular of the choices we had, so it was used.
3. This was hard to emotionally do. This episode is sad.

However in manga “furigana” helps the reader understand what it means but the “kanji” itself can mean something totally different. That’s why I must must must study and study more kanji. Oh what fun.

It would be great if you guys could put this much effort into all your releases instead of your favs. Like just subbing an opening “doesn’t even need kara I just wanna no what there saying” and providing v2 for those Kyou no Go no Ni episodes” Overall nice job on this episode. It was a sad one but good

Wow I can see why that episode was so difficult. Thank you so much for all of your hard work. I can’t vouch for Japanese (very limited knowledge of that language) but the timing seemed to be right on from what I could tell.
As for the episode, it was an emotional roller coaster and one of the most memorable episodes of any anime I have seen this year.

umm, it’s kind of what we expected …Yuuko was physically and emotionally abused by Akira. Pretty much she was raped by him eventually. She was used as a replacement for the sister. What else is there to understand?

the “scene of death”, now i get it…great timing there, chihiro. i tried to be picky and paused and listened to the convo and match it against the subs, but i can’t find fault there!
and yes, this episode is quite emotional. anyone else would feel the same too, imho.

I just want to say, you guys did the BEST job out of all the subs out there for this, and you always do.
I’d like to point a special mention to the scene before the ending, with Yuuko; “Even though I hated it.” I’ve watched two different versions of that, and the way you did it was just… amazing. A truly perfect touch. The other sub did not leave the same feeling as yours did, because you kept increasing the size of the text.
All in all, I love you guys, keep up the great job.
