Sorry about the delays on this. Really, we had issues internally and externally with staff RL and with the sudden onslaught of the fall schedule which we were not prepared for. We are doing out best to adjust to the new schedule now, but as you can tell, there are still a few kinks to work out.
I’m anticipating 1, maybe 2 Kono Aozora episodes tomorrow, Kyou no Go no Ni, and possibly a secret project that you don’t know about. But that secret little project is more likely Wednesday than tomorrow.
And, um, yeah, adult Kaoru is hot. And yes, there’s a new OP/ED. We’ll translate it after we get out of the craziness that is this week.

Sekerei had only 12 episodes so far, but the “to be continued” at the end of EP12 suggest a second season….. Hoping that when it comes, Chihiro takes the liberty to sub it…….

Love it and thanks for another ep, but ZKC is the only sub I get that I have syncing issues with?!?! And it is not through the whole ep it just seems to slow on the video at parts and never catches up so I have to re click on the time and most of the time it will sync up again but only for a few more mins. Is there anything I can do to correct this?? Like I said this is the only show this happens on for me, and yes most all the shows I dl are in mkv and I have the latest version of cccp, so I don’t know what is wrong

@Chihiro: WHY ARE WE BACK TO JERKY VERTICLE AND HORIZONTAL PANS? Who encoded ZTC to 24fps AGAIN? It’s understandable to be behind but if you are behind, then at least you can take the extra minute to check the encode since we’ve already been waiting a week!

Hey Chihiro, great job your doin on the series, there is just a few questions i would like answered if you can:
1) Will you possibly be re-editing eps 15-22 as the writing is too small especially on eps 18-22 (as i have to sit next to my monitor just to read it, lol)? I am only asking, but if you have already picked up on this then thats fine.
2)Do you know when this series will end or when the season will end? Will there be a continuation to the series?
3)Like what others have mentioned, at the end of the season/series will there be a batch?
When there is animes having breaks or something like that, not while you lot @ chihiro are so busy.

@Kaoru: Yes this has been happening on those as well. Like I said though it is only on this series (well it did happen at the very end during the final parts of the credits on Capu2 ep 2 too) but unlike what most people have said it isn’t that it is choppy, it just all of a sudden loses sync and I can’t really tell when it does because the video doesn’t seem to slow down at all, it just kinda happens.

BlueDragon, it’s probably the VFR/timecodes. The parts that are going out of synch for you are supposed to be playing at different framerates than the rest of the episode. RV2 has a 29.970 fps ED instead of the 23.976 of the rest of the episode, so if you’re not using CCCP, it’s probably just assuming the show to be 23.976 throughout.

@Kristen: I am using the latest CCCP,and that thing was just at the end of RV2 no where else in the show, it was great, but what about ZKC? It only does it at some points in the eps not the whole way through.

Zettai Karen Children is completely VFR. There will be points where it’ll play at 23.976, points at 29.970, and I think there’s some at like 19 or so? So, if your PC is reading everything as 23.976, it would cause lag/desynching at times.
The RV2 is only a different frame at the ED. That’s why that is giving you problems only there.

I’m grateful to Chihiro, for continuing the series from Deculture. Without their XVIDs, I’d have no way of fully enjoying ZKC, since my system is only almost powerful enough to handle the MKVs. That’s why I try to UL at least 5GB for each episode fansubbed.
Does anyone know of a way to convert MKV to AVI while keeping the subtitles? Or perhaps, of a program which makes extracting the subtitles (like to ASS format) possible, for merging it back into the raw AVI? I wouldn’t mind doing that extra set of steps myself, if it means enjoying the series sooner.
