I have to say, isn’t this like the perfect project for Chihiro? Ecchi, popular, and has multiple staff members wanting to work on it.
Originally, I wasn’t planning on doing this when some staff members brought it up about a month ago. We had nobody to translate it, and I thought we already had enough projects for the fall. But, we have recently added 2 new translators, and they both want to do it. So, we have a translator and a backup for this.
But, please do NOT expect this on any Thursday. The only thing worse than excessive fanservice is censored excessive fanservice, as a staff member said. We will only release panty shots, no exceptions.
We will release 720p h.264 and 396/400p XviD as per norm. We will also be adding karaoke in either next episode or the one after that. However, we will not stall for karaoke, no exceptions.
We have 4 releases planned for today, this is the second.

lol 2 stations airing this anime censored it and 2 others didn’t. The earliest airing is from TVO on Wednesdays but they’re one of the stations who censored it. The rest airs later in the week

Great release imo. Excelent vid quality on the 720p, and a fitting font for the show in my opinion. Translation seemed fine and I really don’t give a fuck about kara, I actually prefer my animu without it. I find it just clutters up the screen most of the time anyway. Hope you can keep this standard up, Chihiro team.

Hey great to see you guys pick up fansubbin “Rosario to Vampire Capu2 ”
Just finished watchin it and I couldn’t care less about the karaoke. BUT!!!! Since I can’t speak Japanese and many of us can’t ( Which is why we watch subbed versions, DUH!! ) Couldn’t you use an easier to read font??? I hate it when a font is used thats hard to read just because some pansy ass wants to make it pretty…. we want to be able to READ it in the time that it is on screen thats all, nothin I hate more than having to pause a show to read whats on the subs. Worse is the groups that use colored subs… have the time they blend in with the anime onscreen.
THINK first at who the main people are watching YOUR fansubs… ie, people who can’t speak japanese, and need to be able to properly read the fonts so they not only have to big large enough to read but crisp enough to make out. ( Mostly white text with black crisp outline).

I have been a strong supporter and follower of Chihiro subs since they started and always recommend them to friends who are also interested in the same anime as me. Here are a few I’d recommend also watching…
- Yakushiji Ryoko no Kaiki Jikenbo (2008)
- Kannagi (2008) – Just started
- Kyou no Go no Ni ( Today in class 5-2 TV ) * Just started, after 4 series OVA
and yes Chihiro does an excellent job subbing it
- Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka – Just started, although it reminds me of another series… Hmmmm
- To Aru Majutsu no Index – Just started as well
- ToraDora! – Just started, Hilarious as hell
Well I should also mention that I don’t watch the Anime’s I DL on my PC monitor from a foot away, I have a 42 inch Plasma setup that is attached to my HTPC ( Home Theatre PC ). This HTPC is hand built and top of the line. So when I say that certain fonts at a distance are hard to read while other fonts aren’t a problem. And this is the first time I’ve thought it was with Chihiro’s subs.. I’ve NEVER had a problem previously. Also Val if you had of read others also found this font problematic ( Is that to big of a word for you??? ) or should I use childish cuss words that your pee brain ( and yes I mispelled that on purpose for you) can understand.

I just watched the show. I found the font very appropriate for the show but a little hard to read. For me that was a wash.
I’m glad you’re doing the uncensored version. While animated girl’s panties don’t do much for me, trying to cover it up really looks stupid.
Was last years show this stupid? My memories of the show are much better that what I just saw.

sorry for the double post – I was wondering the same thing as my friend up there: I think the animation quality DID improve this time around (as opposed to season 1). I watched one episode of season 1 to rev myself up for capu2, and it seemed like a huge difference… it’s not JUST the 720p quality right?
