Is it just me, or is Penguin just getting more and more ecchi? Like, after episode 4 with nene eating out etorofu-san, it seemed to mellow out a bit, but now it’s gotten extremely ecchi.

mX, I understand that, but to be honest, this show airs in h.264. It’s meant to be watched in h.264. I won’t encode it to the new format if it was never intended to be watched on a computer that way.
My suggestion: Why don’t you try to create a Chihiro-reencode group to do it?

They air on TV, in no particular format. I guess it’s the format .ts or something? So, we encode both versions. But this airs online in h.264 mp4 format. It’s just wrong to change that to XviD.

You want to watch something that is aired in 640×360 on a DVD on a larget screnn…that is VERY intelligent. Hook your damn PC to you TV if you want it THAT badly.
What part of “it airs in h264″ don’t you get. Reencoding it from h264 would make the low quality it has even worse

5th: yes. its very easy to encode h.264 to xvid. go learn yourself some avisynth.

It’s easy enough. Download VirtualDubMod and the XviD codec, drag out h.264 in there, select video->compression->XviD, hit OK, and then go file->Save as. It’ll save you an XviD.

There is an easy to use program for noob encoders called ALL2AVI. Go google it and download it. But I`m warning you, the subs might get shrunk.

I use SUPER encoder, it’s free! It can convert almost anything to almost anything else… but isn’t it easier to buy a nice monitor to watch things off the net?

Kristen, you are absolutely right that this episode veered into the ecchi zone. Saki-san was coming close to out moe-ing Haruna-chan and Haruka-chan. I did love Pengi-chan’s admonition at the end. “Watch next time or I’ll make you an irresistible moe character!”
